New $189,999 Kia Niro Plus EV creates buzz in new-look showroom

Singapore - On a hot sunny afternoon, amidst the fanfare of a pair of dancing lions, and ribbon cutting, all of which to mark the revamp of the KIA showroom, Cycle & Carriage KIA pulls the covers off their new $189,999 (with COE) EV. 

You may find the new KIA Niro Plus EV’s form factor familiar in probably one or two ways, that is because it does share much of its components with the first generation Niro; and also because the hybrid variant is sold as a fleet vehicle to cab companies here.

KIA calls the Niro Plus EV as their first all-electric purpose-built vehicle (PVB). And when placed beside the previous Niro, their PVB boasts a roomy interior with more legroom and headroom, especially at the rear. Ideal for those with limited mobility. The Niro Plus EV boasts a range of 427km on a full charge.

Keeping occupants safe, the Niro Plus EV is built with Advanced high strength steel (AHSS) and hot stamped steel, intended to increase body strength. Active safety features like Forward Collision Avoidance Assist and Autonomous Emergency Braking come as standard; and so do more common features like Lane Keep Assist and Land Following Assist.

A little more about the redesigned showroom

The 4,000 square foot showroom is able to display up to 9 cars, and boasts a design philosophy, termed ‘Opposites United’. It features a ‘Customer Zone’ and a ‘Display Zone’, the former highlighted by wood-tone decor, for a relaxed feel.
