Skoda Singapore returns as Official Automotive Partner of the Singapore Cycling Federation for third consecutive year

Singapore - Skoda Singapore strengthens its commitment to the cycling community as it returns as the Official Automotive Partner of the Singapore Cycling Federation for the third year in a row, which allows the Czech brand to promote and enhance the sport of cycling here.

Leading the pack will be the Škoda Octavia RS, serving as the Commissaire car, with the Škoda Kodiaq RS as safety car. The Škoda Centre Singapore showroom will also be used as a meeting point for the SCF to conduct race-kit collections.

In addition to race support, the Škoda Octavia RS and Kodiaq RS will be deployed to provide logistical assistance to the Singapore Cycling Federation over the course of the year.

This isn't a random collaboration either, because not many people know that Škoda's association with bicycles can be traced back to the company's origins in 1895, when it used to manufacture bicycles.

Globally, the brand continues to be involved in numerous cycling initiatives and sponsorships, most notably, the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a España to name just three.

Dr. Kurt Leitner, Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Singapore, expressed his enthusiasm for the continued partnership, stating, "We are proud to renew our partnership with the Singapore Cycling Federation. Our shared values of excellence, innovation, and sustainability make this collaboration a natural fit. As the Official Automotive Partner, we are excited to support the Federation's events and contribute to the development of cycling in Singapore. Together, we aim to create memorable experiences for cyclists and inspire a greater love for the sport."

The Singapore Cycling Federation's upcoming calendar of events kicks off with the OCBC National Championship Mountain Bike, taking place on 22 and 23 July 2023 at Sarimbun Scout Camp. This will be followed by the OCBC National Championship Team Time Trial on 6 August 2023 at Tanah Merah Coast Road and culminating with the OCBC National Championship Individual Time Trial on 3 September 2023, also at Tanah Merah Coast Road.
