Polestar 2 BST edition 230 - a 476hp passion project realised

Singapore - Polestar at the very moment might still be a one car pony, but that has not stopped them from doing all sorts of things with the Polestar 2.

So the Swedish brand has announced their second BST car to date. For those who like their EVs fast(er), there is some good news, as the Polestar 2 BST edition 230 car will be made available to buyers in Singapore. The BST - which I can assure you, does not stand for Bacon Sausage and Tomato, but rather ‘BEAST’, condensed, is based on the Polestar 2 Long range Dual motor.

Then special things happen, where additional aero is paired with larger specially designed 21-inch Gloss black diamond cut alloy wheels, shod with Pirelli P-Zeros and uprated brakes. There are also Öhlins 2-way adjustable BST edition front dampers, and rear updated Dual Flow Valve dampers, specially developed for the limited run car, which Polestar says offers sports car-like handling. The car has also been lowered by 25mm. All this additional kit is designed to cope with the EV’s higher output.

The increased performance comes from a software upgrade, which brings output up to 476hp and 680Nm. Polestar has also thrown in launch control, for entertaining “take-offs”.

Two colour options are available, which are Space and an exclusive green Nebula. Both colour options will receive a full-length matte black stripe over the top of the car. On the inside, the BST edition car is fitted with Charcoal MicroSuede upholstery, which is made from semi-recycled Nubuck textile. The suede texture Polestar says is there to help limit body movement.

Buyers will also receive both the Plus and Pilot packs, which add features like Harman Kardon Premium Sound, a full-length panoramic roof, Pilot assist, Pixel LED headlamps and a 360-degree camera among others.

The Polestar 2 BST edition 230 will be launched by Wearnes during the third quarter of 2023.
