BYD Launches the Dolphin EV in Singapore for S$156,888 inclusive of COE

Village Square Atrium, Waterway Point, Singapore - Hot on the heels of the popular Atto 3 (in both Cat A and B guises) comes the compact Dolphin, which Vantage Automotive – authorised distributor for BYD cars – launched today in Punggol at the Village Square Atrium in Waterway Point.

With the Dolphin pitched as a starter EV for young couples/families, the brand felt the Punggol location housed a good number of its target demographic.

With 94hp and 180Nm on tap from its 44.9kWh battery, the five-seat Dolphin comfortably comes under COE Category A and is priced at S$156,888 with COE.

The 12.3secs 0-100km/h sprint timing and 340km WLTP range are par for the course and should serve most households for up to a week between charges.

As far as the first half of 2023 is concerned, BYD is the top selling EV brand in Singapore, with over 300 units sold to date.

BYD advances itself as a lifestyle brand in Singapore, with a whole suite of food, beverage, experiential and entertainment spaces (and more to come by the end of the year) through which folks can better understand and appreciate the brand.
