The new Auris is Toyota's first step in its new product offensive in the European compact/family car market (C-segment). While it has been around for a while in Europe, this is the first time it is offered in Singapore.

Sleek exterior design maximises the benefits of the car's lower height and centre of gravity. It carries the new face of Toyota with a stronger grille design and keen-edged headlamps and LED daytime running lights.

The ride height has been lowered by 10mm, reducing the gap between the wheel arches and the tyres and aligning the tyres more closely with the bodywork. The all-new exterior design gives Auris excellent aerodynamics, contributing to better handling stability and lower fuel consumption.

The Auris boasts a spacious and comfortable interior for everyone on board. There has also been an emphasis on raising the sensory quality of the cabin and creating a greater sense of visual unity through consistency of lighting, colours, finishes, and even the font used for the graphics.

It comes with lots of creature comforts as standard: intelligent parallel parking assist , keyless entry, rain sensing wipers and climate control air conditioning.

The new Vios is equipped with a 1.6L engine, producing 132 horses and 160 Nm of torque. The only transmission option is the Multidrive S, a continuously variable transmission (CVT) which offers the choice of a fully automatic, seamless shift mode or stepped 7spd Sport mode. 0-100km/h sprint time is at 11.1 seconds. Fuel economy is rated at 5.7 l/100km and a CO2 emission of 134g/km makes it eligible for a CEVS rebate of S$10,000.

The new Auris is on sale at S$132,988. With the order books open, Borneo Motors is offering a 3-year servicing package, 5-year unlimited mileage warranty, Toyota Shine Plus bodycare programme and free classic window solar films.
