Toyota GAZOO Racing GT Cup: Asia's Champion Emerges

The finale of the Toyota GAZROO Racing GT Cup Asia 2021 concluded earlier this weekend. The e-Motorsports event saw 21 drivers from several countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Taiwan and South Korea take duel it out on the (virtual) tracks in “Gran Turismo SPORT” on PlayStation®4 to clinch the acclaimed regional championship title.

After three races, the finals concluded with Nathayos Sirigaya of Thailand coming in first place for the TGR GT Cup Asia 2021 championship. In second place was Chou Yi Teng of Taiwan and coming in third was Muhammad Aleef of Singapore.

Both Nathayos and Yi Teng will go on to race in the TGR GT Cup Global Finals in December, taking on the other e-Motorsports regional champions from around the world.

We are excited to see more countries participating, increasing the competition intensity,” said Vice President of Toyota Marketing Asia, David Nordstrom. “It was thrilling to see Nathayos and Aleef returning to battle it out for the global final entries. We wish Nathayos and Yi Teng all the best in the global finals.”
