MINI lets it go with the MINI One Frozen Brass Edition
Singapore - The most affordable MINI, the MINI One, is now available in a limited Frozen Brass Edition. Both 3-Door and 5-door models are decked out in a host of embellishments that further underscore the character of MINI.
Both the 3-Door and 5-Door variants receive brass accents, in lieu of chrome, which can be found on the headlight and rear light trims, trunk lid grille, door grab handles and MINI emblems. There is also a unique side wrap inspired by a close-up of the Union Jack. The tail pipe gets a lick of Jet Black, to contrast with the brass accents, and match with 17” Pedal Spoke Black wheels.
"Historically, brass was revered as a symbol of status in homes and was heavily featured in the 1920s at the beginning of the Art Deco movement,” said Mr. Kidd Yam, Head of MINI Asia. “As brass has a fascinating history and holds an important place in the design world, the MINI One Frozen Brass Edition was created for those who have an especial appreciation of sleek stylised forms.”
Both 3-Door and 5-Door MINIs receive Piano Black interior panels, and carbon black Leatherette seats on the inside. Also sporting the Piano Black treatment, is a nappa leather wrapped steering wheel.
Like the regular MINI One, the Frozen Brass Edition car also sports a 5-inch digital instrument cluster, and an 8.8-inch colour touchscreen infotainment display. The new MINI App adds another level of connectivity for owners, allowing them to operate some of the car’s functions via their registered mobile device.
Owners will have a choice of two colour schemes, “Lounge” and “Sport” modes for their central instrument display and the digital cockpit display. In “Lounge” mode, colours range between turquoise and petrol blue. If "Sport" mode is active, the screen backgrounds are red and anthracite.
Under the hood, the MINI One is equipped with a 1.5 litre turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol, which produces 102hp and 190Nm. This means that both the 3-Door and 5-Door MINI One variants qualify for a Category A COE, and are priced at S$151,888 and S$154,888 respectively.
