How cool is this safari spec Nissan GT-R?

Remember yesterday when we foolishly claimed that the Torsus Terrastorm could be the perfect apocalypse vehicle? Well, we were wrong, because what you’d really want in the event of all hell breaking loose is this… a jacked-up off-road Nissan GT-R that’ll outrun the end of the world.

This is the work of Dutch dealership Classic Youngtimers Consultancy, and yes, they’re the same folk who built the off-road Lamborghini Gallardo towards the end of last year.

Despite its questionable camo wrap, doesn’t the GT-R look mega? And with a trick four-wheel drive system and those XL off-road tyres, it should actually be pretty handy across ever-so-slightly rough terrain.

Classic Youngtimers has fitted new suspension too, so the R35 gets 12cm more ground clearance than standard. Oh, and the 3.8-litre V6 has been fettled to produce 600hp. Lovely.

As it’s in safari spec, there’s also the obligatory extra lighting. The full light bar and LED spotlight combo is present and correct here, and it’s all the better for it. There’s a gnarly custom roof rack/spare tyre carrier on top too.

And the best bit? All of this could be yours for just over £85,000. What a bargain…
