Rolls-Royce's Champagne transportation device costs just S$65k
For S$65k (before local taxes!), you could have one of these – Rolls-Royce’s new “Champagne Chest”. A means of transporting one’s Champagne from one place to another as decadently and ostentatiously as humanly possible.
(We think this will go nicely with the go-everywhere Cullinan... click HERE for our review)
Rolls claims the chest is an “accoutrement intended to delight, suitable for the most extravagant of environments from a superyacht to the terrace of a private residence” and that it “endows conviviality with one’s closest friends, family or business associates”. Quite.
Made from machined aluminium and carbonfibre, and covered in fancy black leather and wood, the chest contains a Champagne set for four people.
With the push of a button, the top and sides of the chest extend outwards, displaying four hand-blown, crystal, champagne flutes “arranged to evoke memories of a V12 engine”, and the owner’s choice of Champagne (kept at the ideal temperature thanks to black anodised aluminium and carbonfibre coolers).
You can also spec the means required to store and serve caviar – two coolers and mother-of-pearl spoons.
